taking care of your skin (for this post, specifically facial skin) is really necessary.. not only for outer beauty and good health, but for feeling good for one's self as well.
here is a simple step by step process of a do it yourself facial treatment.
ingredients are all natural and may be found just in your kitchen. have fun!
- Make sure to start off with a clean face using a mild soap or facial foam/wash. This removes the dirt and/or make up, if you have applied any.
1. facial steam
- Submerge a small towel (face towel, that is!) into warm clean water. (Make sure it is not boiling hot to prevent burns)
- Squeeze off the towel to avoid dripping of water.
- Then gently pat on to face. (The absorption of heat through the skin makes your pores open, making it easier to clean your face effectively.)
2. facial scrub
- Apply honey on your face, be mindful to put an even application. (not too much, or there will sure be a mess. haha)
- After applying honey all over your face, put an ample amount of sugar on your hands. You may use any type of sugar but i strongly recommended brown sugar since it has a courser texture best for scrubbing.
- Gently pat sugar over your face. (cheeks, forehead, nose and chin)
- Scrub your face in circular motion.
- Rinse well with water.
3. facial mask
- For your mask, gently separate the egg white from the egg yolk. (We will be using the egg white)
- Place the egg white in a small bowl or any container you prefer. Squeeze in a lemon, or calamansi, whichever you have in your kitchen.
- Then whisk until the mixture gets foamy.
- Apply evenly on facial skin. Leave the mask for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse off with clean cold water. (Cold water closes your pores.)
If you have bigger pores than normal, you can not have them turn smaller again. But you can help them at least get relaxed or rejuvenated by gently rolling clean ice cubes over your face.
woooow nice :) ung calamansi very effective :)
